My academic journey in medicine commenced at the esteemed PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Coimbatore, India, where I undertook my Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from 2006 to 2012. This foundational period was integral to developing my core medical principles and gaining a deep understanding of patient care.
I furthered my specialization at the University of Kentucky, completing a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology between 2013 and 2015. This advanced study enhanced my insights into the vital role of physical activity in health maintenance and disease prevention.
I continued to broaden my expertise at the University of Kentucky, where I completed a residency in Family Medicine from 2015 to 2018, followed by a Faculty Development Fellowship until 2019. These experiences profoundly shaped my ability to provide comprehensive healthcare.
Subsequently, I pursued a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship from 2019 to 2020. This specialized training allowed me to focus on optimizing health and performance in athletes and active individuals, emphasizing preventative measures and holistic care.
Currently, I am enriching my knowledge even further by participating in an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona, started in January 2023 and aimed to conclude in January 2025. This program is aiding me in seamlessly integrating conventional medical treatments with evidence-based alternative practices, enhancing my approach to treat the whole person — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
